Our yoga and wellbeing classes are accessible to people from all ages and walks of life. Our teachers are experienced in many different methodologies of guiding yoga and aim to make each class beneficial for your body, mind and nervous system. Yoga acknowledges the ever present union of the body and the mind, through breath and movement, presence and mindful attention. A calm centered experience of yourself is felt and the space to process life events and daily stressors on body and mind is accessed.

Stress is experienced in accordance with the adaptation energy and space we have available at the time. Giving yourself space on a regular basis to process life is highly valuable. At Align we really recognise the importance of providing this space for you.

Services

As well as our regular classes we offer private group sessions according to your needs, whether this be on a regular basis or as an event offering to your group. Contact us to discuss  your needs and options. Anything from sound relaxation & meditation or mindfulness to movement for back care for office workers can be arranged.

Osheani also offers private holistic coaching or assisted yoga stretch sessions for all clients.

Individual sessions for NDIS clients both in recovery coaching and wellbeing mindset are also available at the studio. Some clients benefit from an assisted movement practice and others from a weekly check in and coaching on mindset, mental health and wellbeing. She is trained in Yoga Teaching, Holistic counselling, Trauma Informed Yoga & Coaching, Meditation Therapy and is currently completing her diploma in Mental Health. Always applying a trauma informed person centred approach and through her own lived experience Osheani is a relatable guide to and for her clients and has worked with ASD, ADD, Cerebral palsy, dystonia, chronic pain, depression and anxiety. Heated Classes

Heated classes are offered in our beloved Vinyasa Flow style (Flow State)
This practice is a breath inspired flow and a fairly active class suitable for students  from the currently active beginner level to intermediate student.
Our heated classes are warmed to a comfortable level using Far Infrared heating. Heated classes are NOT SUITABLE for pregnancy.
There are many benefits to working with this form of heating the room including:
  • Increased flexibility
  • Increased circulation
  • Detoxification, through the skin via sweat
  • Weight loss, increases metabolism
  • Pain relief FAR infrared directly penetrates tissue and muscle and is often used therapeutically for pain relief.

When we sync our body movements with the flow of our breath we can more easily access this mindful presence. These classes are fluid, active and move you in an intelligent sequence to open you up, build strength and bring a vibrant energy to your body. Balanced well with winding down towards the end to soften you in, release tension and have you sweetly and simply let go. The addition of FAR Infared heat brings further release to your body. Temp low to mid 30s. Must bring towels please.

Power classes are up a notch in stamina and flow. We do recommend some experience with alignment awareness before attending power classes.

Gentle Stretch And Release (warm) not currently scheduled.

Gentle Stretch & Release is the perfect compliment to your other more active pursuits. Athletes & beginners alike enjoy this grounded slow paced stretch class. All kept to the floor and focused on gentle and effective releasing movements – some using the roll release balls to assist you to access muscular release . A nice pace that allows you space to feel, to breathe and to repair your body. Those doing stronger exercise or sports notice less injury and or better prevention when joining this class and everyone leaves feeling calm, stretched and released . FAR Infared panels warm the room and further assist your body to release and heal. (please note not currently scheduled)

Level: All, very beginner friendly

Focus: Warm, stretch and release of tight muscles, relaxing and releasing

Unheated Classes

Align Classes suitable for Beginners and General or All Levels.

Unwind and Yin

Book Classes

Slow down and breathe deep in this restorative session of yoga. Treat yourself to a restful practice with longer, supported postures for release and flexibility. Longer relaxation times allowed for in these classes provides a great balance to the more active sessions we teach.
Ideal for beginners or anyone feeling the need to slow down and breathe. There can be many reasons we need to go gentler in times of physical stress or mental and emotional stress or disruption as well. This practice is nurturing and beneficial for those experiencing anxiety and tension. Includes relaxation and deep rest.

Focus: Gentle movement, feeling supported, breathing, relaxation & meditation

Core and Spine Care

Book Classes

Specifically focusing on core abdominals, back strength and on spinal care. This class is mostly floor work. Perfect for those new to yoga, those wanting more core awareness and / or those with lower back issues. Great class to gain an understanding of superficial versus core muscles and strength. Core work is practised in a slow and focused way with the breath. A good compliment to the other classes. This class, because it is mostly on your back is not recommended for pregnancy, though is an ideal post natal practice.

Open Yoga

Align Open Yoga is an all levels general yoga class. Suitable for active beginners and regular practitioners alike. Combining breath awareness, mindful focus and intelligent balanced postural sequences for your wellbeing of body mind and soul- incorporates breath, mindfulness, functional strength & flexibility. Each class offers simpler options according to their range of movement and strength, allowing you the space to grow into the practice and space for regulars to explore something new or to extend their practice.

Yin Yoga enphasises stillness. Gently working the connective tissue of your body to optimise joint health this class will really help you discover your edge in a new way, to stay calm in the experience and to truly let go.Postures are slow and held for a longer time in supported positions. All levels suitable, this practice can bring balance to your more Yang activities. Not suitable for later stages in pregnancy due to the long holds.

Foundations (Gentle / Beginners Basics)

Our Foundations class is exactly that. Simple yoga, taken back to basics at a slower pace. More basic alignment and body awareness information is shared in this class and it is the perfect place to be if you are a beginner, someone preferring a gentler easier class, someone pre or post natal or someone coming back to practice after an injury or illness.
These classes are loved for their simpler sequencing and special care. A beautiful way to get started or reconnect to your practice.

Therapeutic Yoga

Therapeutic Yoga is a class where you get to hone in on a specific area of your body. More details can be explained and movements still powerful but simplified for you to work your attention with.This is very helpful if you are wanting to work in practice with any injuries, if you are a beginner to yoga, if you are pregnant or post natal .

Our regulars also love this class to understand their bodies through some different movement applications. Our Therapeutic instructors are therapy yoga trained and are working with physical components as well as mind and energy awareness. This practice approaches therapeutic yoga in a holistic way.

Subtle Hatha Restore

Subtle Hatha incorporates mindful movement, breathing practices and body awareness via gentle movements often done slowly in repetition with a connection to your flow of breath. The intention of this class is for nervous system health, building resilience in times of stress and tension and serving your physical body with joint mobility and gentle stretches. The practice perfectly balances opening and then settling as we move you through body movement and breath and then take you into restorative yoga. Perfect for beginners, seniors, anyone who needs to go slow due to conditions such as fibromyalgia, arthritis, or nervous system imbalance, anyone who enjoys mindful meditative movement.
